Jianzhan refers to the black-glazed tea bowl fired in the Jian kiln, which was produced and famous in the Song Dynasty in China. This ceramic teacup is called the Tenmoku in the West and Japan. The tea industry calls Jianzhan "the only tea utensil born for tea", and the ceramic industry calls Jianzhan "the art of difficult combination of earth and fire".

The fetal material of Jianzhan is thick and hard, and there are small pores inside the tire, which is conducive to the heat preservation of tea soup. The glaze of the tea cup is primitive, but the texture is varied. The Tenmoku tea cup is a must-have item for tea art lovers.

When firing Jian ware, the high temperature in the kiln can reach 1350 degrees Celsius, and the iron ions in the glaze will precipitate and flow on the glaze surface to form unique and beautiful patterns. The generation of such patterns is unpredictable and difficult to grasp. There is a saying that "One color enters the kiln, and all colors come out of the kiln". At the same time, Jianzhan fired at high temperatures is absolutely safe, but it cannot be used in a microwave oven.
